Eagles teamed with Take It Easy co-writer to honor Glenn Frey at the Grammy Awards on Monday night.

Browne and Frey are credited as the songwriters of ‘Take It Easy’ but what happened was Browne started the song but had writers block and asked Frey, who lived in the same apartment building, to finish it for him.

In Browne’s original song ‘Take It Easy’ was set in Flagstaff, Arizona where the incident with the “girl, my Lord, in a flatbed Ford’ actually happened in real life.

Glenn Frey died on January 18, 2016 at age 67 from complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia.

Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, Timothy B. Schmit, and Joe Walsh took the Grammys stage inside the Staples Center with Jackson Browne to honor Glenn Frey.
