La Roux’s Elly Jackson has tweeted that she will be starring in the New Year’s Absolutely Fabulous special.

“Elly will make a guest appearance on the New Years episode of ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ on 1st January at 9.40pm on BBC One,” she wrote.
The cast of Absolutely Fabulous have reunited for the 20th anniversary specials. Three will air over Christmas and New Year.
“Its great that we are able to celebrate our 20th birthday with all the original cast. Like a good bottle of champagne we hope that we have got better with time without losing any of our sparkle. Last week when we started filming in dear old West London, it was as if nothing had changed. It was raining. Nevertheless, we are so happy to be working for an audience that has grown just a tiny bit older like us, but is still willing to let us fall over on TV in the name of PR”.
The original cast will feature in the specials including Jennifer Saunders as Edina Monsoon, Joanna Lumley as Patsy Stone, Julia Sawalha as Saffy, June Whitfield as Mother and Jane Horrocks as Bubble.
The new special are set in the present day.
The ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ special’s will also star Stella McCartney and Spice Girl Emma Bunton.
