Ex-Pat Aussies Sia, Iggy Azelea, Keith Urban Line Up For Grammy Nominations

Former Australian residents Iggy Azalea and Sia have a chance at the major Grammy Awards of 2015 after scoring multiple nominations.

Adelaide’s Sia Fuhler started her career in Australia, initially as a jazz singer at age 17 in the South Australia capital.

Azalea Street MullumbimbyMullumbimby’s own Amethyst Kelly, who moved to the USA when she was 16, reinvented herself as Iggy Azalea in 2010 after renaming herself after her childhood dog and street she grew up in.

Iggy Azalea has been nominated for ‘Best New Artist’, Record of the Year for Fancy, Best Rap Album for The New Classic, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Fancy with Charli XCX.

Sia has been nominated for Record of the Year for Chandelier, Song of the Year for Chandelier, Best Music Video for Chandelier, Best Pop Solo Performance for Chandelier,

Keith Urban, who was born in New Zealand but moved to Australia at age 2, was also nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for Cop Car.
