Glenn Shorrock has decided to take back his legacy by re-recording his Little River Band classics for a new album ‘Glenn Shorrock Sings Little River Band’.

Although Little River Band still exists, there are no original members in the band and the non-original owner of the business name refuses to allow the founding members to perform with any sign of their heritage unless under strict legal guidelines.

Shorrock has re-entered the studio to record new solo versions of the classic songs from his iconic band. The band for this record ironically features Jak Housden (guitar 1), the brother of current Little River Band title-holder Steve Housden. Also featured are Pete Drummond (drums), James Van Cooper (guitar 2), Dario Bortolin (bass), Robbie Woolf (keys), Glenn Cunningham (bv’s), Hugh Wilson (bv’s), Phil Stack (upright bass on Reminiscing), Mitchell Rogers (lap steel), and Ross Middleton (sax). The album was engineered by Ted Howard and mastered by Paul Gomersall.

Rod Stewart Atlantic Crossing Turns 50

When Rod Stewart released Atlantic Crossing in August 1975, it marked one of the most dramatic pivots in his career. Not only was it his sixth studio album, but it was also his first recorded entirely in the United States, following his move from London to Los Angeles. The title itself is a cheeky nod to that relocation, signalling that Stewart was ready to embrace a more polished, Americanised sound — and perhaps, a broader commercial reach.
