Happy Mondays Shows are selling out in Australia and New Zealand

by Paul Cashmere on January 8, 2019

in News

Happy Mondays have done well with ticket sales since David Roy Williams put the shows in sale.

Happy Mondays shows in Auckland, Perth and Melbourne have sold out. Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and an extra Auckland still have some tickets available.

For Happy Mondays fans it will be a rare treat to see them in Australia. They were due to tour in 2013 but that tour was cancelled due to medical issues with drummer Gary Whelan. Prior to that Happy Mondays were part of the Big Day Out line-up of 2001.

The 2019 shows will feature a complete performance of Happy Mondays 1990 album ‘Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches’. The album was the third for Happy Mondays. ‘Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches’ was released in 1990 and reached no 4 on the UK chart.
