Hilary Duff Records Track With Ed Sheeran

Hilary Duff and Ed Sheeran have a duet on the way.

The 26-year-old star is currently working on her fifth studio album, her latest effort since releasing LP Dignity in 2007.

And Hilary reveals she teamed up with the Sing crooner on a hot new track.

‘I’m cutting an Ed Sheeran song next week, which I’m really excited about,’ she gushed to MTV News, noting the single will be released ‘soon’.

Hilary, who is now mother to two-year-old son Luca with estranged husband Mike Comrie, claims her new album will have an ‘earthy, indie-pop vibe’.

Although the songstress was forthright about working with Grammy-nominee Ed, she won’t list all of the hot Hollywood musicians collaborating with her right now.

‘I’m working with a lot of people. I’m still writing, so that process is still going on,’ she explained.

Hilary took some time off from the music industry to care for Luca and focus on other professional pursuits, like writing children’s books.

But she thinks creating music again is the perfect occupation for her at this time.

‘It feels good to be in the studio. It feels good to be talking about my last few years – the high points and the low points,’ Hilary said. ‘I really just want to be honest and be an open book for my fans to know where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing, how I feel and all that good stuff. So, I should have a single soon, and an album by the fall.’
