Jimmy Barnes Melbourne Show Upscaled To Rod Laver Arena

by Paul Cashmere on June 20, 2019

in News

Jimmy Barnes ‘Shutting Down Your Town’ Melbourne date has been given more than a double-up up-scale moving from the 7,500 capacity Margaret Court Arena to the 14,820 capacity Rod Laver Arena.

The October 12 show will be Jimmy’s only Melbourne date this year.

This is another reason why people should only buy tickets from the authorized seller. Those who purchased from the official ticket seller Ticketek will automatically be reseated into Rod Laver Arena. If you have purchased from unauthorized sellers such as Viagogo our advice is to start the attempt to recovery your new ticket now (and good luck with that).

Jimmy Barnes’ new album ‘Shutting Down Your Town’ is his first album of original material in a decade. The album debuted at no 1 in Australia last week with around three times more sales than the number two album by Billie Eilish.

Jimmy appeared on the Interview show with Andrew Denton recently and was watched by around 718,000 Australians. This week’s Madonna ‘Interview’ episode drew one of the show’s lowest ratings ever, with only 407,000 people nationally turning in to watch Madonna.
