Bonamassa has just released his “lucky thirteenth” album Driving Towards The Daylight, which features guest spots from Cold Chisel’s Jimmy Barnes and Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford on originals and covers of songs from Willie Dixon, Tom Waits, Bill Withers and more.

It has already topped the midweek iTunes chart in the UK, with his label owner Ed Van Zijl saying, “Joe has worked extremely hard for the past 20 years, gradually building a massive following with the general public. It now seems that public demand is dictating the need for a singer/songwriter and guitarist of Joe’s stature.”

His recent live Beacon Theatre DVD debuted at number three on the Billboard DVD Chart.

Now Bonamassa is headed to Australia. He’s booked six shows across the nation in October and tickets are on sale now.

Check out a clip of Bonamassa performing with the band on The Late Show With David Letterman last Monday below.
