Kanye West Says Trump Meeting Was To Discuss Multicultural Issues

Rapper Kanye West met with U.S. president-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday (13Dec16) to discuss issues affecting minorities in America.

West sat down with the controversial upcoming president at Trump’s Trump Tower building in New York City, and now details of their odd meeting have been unearthed – and it appears troubled Kanye, who is now sporting blond hair, wasn’t just being social.

“I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” West writes on his Twitter account. “These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernising curriculums, and violence in Chicago.”

Kanye, whose late mother was a teacher, is a Chicago native concerned about the mounting bloodshed in the city and he hopes that speaking with Trump will help change things for African-Americans and other disenfranchised communities around the nation.

“I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change,” he notes.

The hip-hop star signed off by making a cheeky reference to his own political ambitions, tweeting: “#2024”.

Kanye previously revealed he was planning to run for U.S. President at the 2020 election, but now it seems he’s happy to let Trump have his full two terms in office.

As the race for the White House between Trump and his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton became heated earlier this year (16), social media fans started their own movement by suggesting Kanye should stand against them.

West’s meeting with Trump was one of the rapper’s first public outings since he was hospitalised in Los Angeles after suffering a reported a mental breakdown, which prompted the Stronger hitmaker to scrap the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo Tour last month (Nov16).
