Katy Perry is reportedly “coming round to the idea” that her beau is about to become a father.
Katy has been dating DJ Diplo on-and-off for the last seven months, but last month news broke that he’s expecting a baby with his ex Kathryn Lockhart. The former couple already have son Lockett together.
Now the initial shock has worn off the star is said to be looking towards the future with Diplo by her side.
“Initially Katy felt humiliated and mortified by the news, particularly that he could keep it from her for so long. She feels hurt that nobody mentioned it before, but she’s coming round to the idea,” an insider told British magazine Grazia.
Diplo, real name Thomas Wesley Pentz, is said to be adamant that his relationship with 30-year-old Katy only started once he and Kathryn had ended things.
The American popstar has dated a string of high profile men and had a short lived marriage to comedian Russell Brand which ended in 2011. It appears she is not ready to lose Diplo and the pair were recently snapped together in France.
“Katy is madly in love Diplo, and after talking things through, she’s decided to stand by him. It’s so sad because she wears her heart on her sleeve and even she admits she jumps into relationships too quickly, but the problem with Katy is she’s romantic,” the source said.
“Katy really wants Diplo to be Mr Right after kissing so many Mr Wrongs. She’s hoping he’s The One.”
