Katy Perry is reportedly enjoying a ‘very private’ romance with Diplo.
The Dark Horse singer has been dating the 36-year-old DJ on-and-off since April 2014. News broke last November Diplos ex Kathryn Lockhart gave birth to their second child together, which allegedly threw a wrench in his romance with Katy.
But apparently the 30-year-old songstress remains romantically involved with Diplo.
‘Diplo is still a part of her life, but she is keeping it very, very private,’ a source told Hollywood Life.
Katy separated from British comedian Russell Brand in December 2011 after 14 months of marriage. When her divorce from Russell was finalised in 2012, she began dating John Mayer, with their romance ending in early 2014.
Apparently Katy is concerned too much attention from the public could ruin her romance with Diplo.
‘After Russell and John, she doesn’t want to have the same media storm she had with them because that took a toll on those relationships and really were a main reason for the trouble,’ the insider explained. ‘They are still involved but she is being very closed off on this because she wants it to work.’
Diplos new child with his former flame Kathryn is named Lazer and his eldest kid, Lockett, was born in 2010.
It’s claimed Katy isn’t too involved with his children just yet.
‘She doesn’t [spend time with the kids], but they want it that way. She has met Lazer, but is involved in zero decision making with the child,’ the source said.
