Kiss Extend End of the Road Farewell Tour Another Two Years

by Paul Cashmere on October 27, 2019

in News

If you thought Australia was the end of the road for Kiss’ End of the Road farewell tour then think again. Kiss have extended the tour another two years.

Gene Simmons told Dennis Miller in an interview this week that while this is the final Kiss tour, this year is not the final year. ” We’ve got another two years of staying out there”.

The classic Kiss line-up “ended” with Ace Frehley and Peter Criss ended in 2002 but then Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons resurrected the band with Ace and Peter and with Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer. “When you’ve got a flat tyre, change the tyre,” Simmons says as a reason why the band decided to continue without them.

Simmons does see an end in sight. “By the time I’m 72, it’s time to get off the stage. We’ve both seen bands that stayed too long on that stage… You wanna get off the stage before they’re tired of you… Leave them wanting more. Don’t stay on there too long.”

Kiss will kick of the Australian leg of End of the Road in Perth on 16 November, 2019. The current tour dates now go through to June 2020.
