Lady Gaga will team up with Metallica for a joint performance at the Grammy Awards.

In a statement, The Recording Academy announced, “The Recording Academy and CBS Television Network are happy to confirm that Lady Gaga will be performing with previously announced Metallica at the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards. In true GRAMMY Moment fashion, this pairing is sure to make for another unforgettable performance during Music’s Biggest Night.”

Lady Gaga has previously collaborated with The Rolling Stones in a one-off appearance of ‘Gimme Shelter’ in New Jersey in 2012.

Lady Gaga performed at the Super Bowl this week.

Metallica has also done unusual collaborations in the past. Check out this performance with Lou Reed.
