In 1982 Lee Kerneghan was crowded Star Maker at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. In 2019 he will have a more business-like role, as Ambassador.

“I’m proud to be the 2019 Country Music Festival ambassador. It’s Australia’s largest music festival and the only place to be in January!,” said Kernaghan.

Lee was introduced to the festival by his dad Ray. “I loved everything about it” he says. “The big crowds, the long summer days filled with all the different styles of country music, not to mention the opportunity to see all the new talent bursting onto the scene.”

The Country Music Festival will be held in Tamworth from 18-27 January 2019. 700 artists will perform at over 2800 events at 120 venues. The Country Music Festival now attracts over 300,000 music fans.

“If you haven’t been before, it’s definitely one for the bucket list! I know where I’ll be this January and I can’t wait to see you there!” says Kernaghan.
