Lenny Kravitz Releases Anti-Racism Song For United Nations

Legendary singer Lenny Kravitz has released a ballad to raise awareness for the United Nations Human Rights Council’s #fightracism campaign.

The song describes a world where humans live alongside each other in peace and love.

We’re not here to judge
We are here to love
There’s no room for hate
There is just one human race

“All of us need to call out and openly condemn all messages – especially political messages or discourses – which disseminate ideas based on racial superiority or hatred, or which incite racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance,” UN Commissioner for Human Rights Michele Bachelet said in a statement.

The campaign’s official site describes its motive with “#FightRacism aims to foster a global culture of tolerance, equality and anti-discrimination. Every day, each and every one of us can stand up against racial prejudice and intolerant attitudes.”

Kravitz directed the video which features a diverse cast of people standing briefly in front of the camera before walking off.
