David Bowie’s brand new song ‘Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime) debuted on BB6 over the weekend on Guy Garvey of Elbow’s radio show ‘Guy Garvey’s Finest Hour’.

David Bowie’s official Facebook page was quick to follow-up the exclusive first play with the following statement:

“Kicking off the programme with Life On Mars?, and describing today as David Bowie Day, Guy followed the classic 1971 Hunky Dory track with a fine spoken tribute to Bowie and his contribution to music.

“Mr Garvey’s contagious excitement in anticipation of Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime) prevailed throughout the first forty minutes, and then, after giving a list of things he doesn’t often utter, he introduced the track thus:

‘“Here’s another thing I never thought I’d find myself saying…Time now for the first play, anywhere ever in the world on the radio, of David Bowie’s new song. It’s called Sue, it’s seven and a half minutes of glorious Bowie-esque drama and it’s my absolute privilege to play it on 6 music, the greatest radio station on Earth. Ladies and gentlemen, David Bowie and Sue…”.

‘Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime)’ is the new Bowie / Tony Visconti produced song to be featured on Bowie’s upcoming 50 year retrospective ‘Nothing Has Changed’.

Bowie has returned to a space=aged theme with ‘Sue’. “For those of you wondering about the relevance of today’s lyric quotation, the loose theme of the show was The Moon”.

The 7-minute jazz-infused song was recorded with the Maria Schneider Orchestra in New York in the summer of 2014.

Listen to Guy Garvey play David Bowie ‘Sue (Or In A Season of Crime)’.

‘Nothing Has Changed’ is Bowie’s first complete retrospective covering his 50 years of recording and all labels he has passed through in that time.

‘Nothing Has Changed’ will be released in Australia on November 21, 2014 by Warner Music.

Why Queen’s Quietest Member John Deacon Chose to Become a Recluse Until This Rare Return

For fans of Queen, John Deacon has long been the enigma of the band, a brilliant musician, masterful songwriter, and humble presence behind the scenes. Since the early 1990s, Deacon has shunned the spotlight, retiring quietly after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. But now, years later, he has quietly resurfaced, lending his signature alongside bandmates Roger Taylor and Brian May on a charity auction item, signalling, perhaps, that even the most private of souls can still make their mark in unexpected ways.
