Mic Conway To Play 50th Anniversary Show

Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band founder (and the voice of Wags the Dog) Mic Conway is planning a 50th anniversary show.

Conway formed the Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band in Melbourne in 1969. In 172 they scored their first hit with ‘My Canary Has Circles Under Its Eyes’.

Another hot came with Wangaratta Wahine in 1974.

Conway was the voice of Wags the Dog for The Wiggles in the 90s and 2000s. He was also Jimbo the Juggler and the Postman in The Wiggles 1997 movie. Mic has also appeared on kids TV shows Humphrey B. Bear, Mr Squiggle, Play School and ABC 4 Kids. He was also a founding member of Circus Oz.
