viagogo’s international websites have already registered over a million searches from Brazil to Beijing from fans hoping to see the legendary rockers on what is rumoured to be their last tour.

With only 15,000 seats thought to be available per night at the London O2 Arena, that means at least a million disappointed fans. The O2 would need to put on 73 of those performances to meet this demand. This is the highest demand for tickets to an event ever registered by viagogo, the world’s largest ticket marketplace.

Ed Parkinson, viagogo spokesperson, said: ‘The Rolling Stones are a global phenomenon ‘ and one of the last supergroups still performing with a full line up. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see them, which explains why they are topping the search terms on viagogo before tickets have even gone on sale.’

Neil Young And The Rolling Stones: The Curious Crossover Of Borrowed Tune And Lady Jane

Neil Young has never hidden from uncomfortable truths, especially when they intersect with his music. Few examples illustrate that candour more starkly than Borrowed Tune, a fragile piano lament that openly acknowledges its melodic debt to The Rolling Stones' 1966 recording Lady Jane. Rather than obscuring the connection, Young placed it front and centre, turning a moment of creative exhaustion into one of the most disarming confessions in his catalogue.
