Oh Mercy and Gossling Contribute To French Music Project

Alexander Gow of Oh Mercy and Helen Croome aka Gossling have got together to record the French song ‘La Minute de Silence’ for the project ‘Melodie Francaise’.

‘Melodie Francaise’ features Australian artists such as Oh Mercy & Gossling, Lisa Mitchell, Dappled Cities and The Jezabels, performing French songs in France.

Helen was first asked to contribute to the project and she brought Alexander in. “They approached me with the idea of being in the project. It sounded pretty interesting and different. They said you could pick any French song you wanted. I did a whole lot of Youtubing and the songs I can across turned out mostly to be duets. So I got Alexander involved, asked him if he would be keen and it went from there”.

In March, Gossling and Gow went to Paris and made a video for their song.

‘Melodie Francaise’ will be released this month through Inertia.
