Songwriting icon Jimmy Webb has been quieting working with Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires, Maren Morris and Natalie Hemby to develop the brand new supergroup, The Highwomen, the female equivalent to legends who were The Highwaymen.

The Highwomen will release their first album in September.

As solo artists Natalie Hemby has had five Billboard no. 1s, Maren Morris has had two Billboard hits, Amanda Shires, the wife of Jason Isbel and won a Grammy with their 400 Unit and Brandi Carlile was the most nominated woman at the 61st Grammy Awards.

So far two singles have been released, ‘Redesigning Women’ and ‘Crowded Table’.

Webb recreated the lyrics to his classic song “Highwayman” for the Highwomen project.

The Highwomen album will be released on 6 September, 2019.

The Highwaymen was Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. They released three albums between 1985 and 1995.
