Perth Singer Georgi Kay Signs With Parlophone

Perth singer songwriter Georgi Kay has signed with Parlophone Records, the label that launched The Beatles.

Parlophone UK is the home of Lily Allen, Kylie Minogue, Bat For Lashes, Gorillaz and Sigur Ros.

Georgi’s first single for the label will be ‘Ipswich’ on a limited edition 7” to coincide with Record Store Day on April 20. An EP will follow later in the year.

Georgi recently won an APRA Professional Development Award. She also played the part of a troubled artist in the TV mini-series ‘Top Of The Lake’. The show also starred David Wenham, Holly Hunter and Lucy Lawless.

‘Backwardsforwards’ was Georgi’s debut album released in Australia in 2011.
