Robert Plant will return to Bluesfest in 2018. The first round announcement is here with Plant leading the list and the mysteriously postponed Lionel Richie and Chic shows back on the table.

The New Power Generation, The John Butler Trio and Lukas Young & Promise of the Real have been name-checked.

Bluesfest boo Peter Noble said in a statement, “Well here it is, the first of our announcements for Bluesfest 2018, and what an announcement it is! Lionel Richie, Robert Plant, The New Power Generation, CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers, Jose Gonzalez, First Aid Kit plus two of Australia’s greatest artists The John Butler Trio and Tash Sultana, who is on fire right now”.

“There is lots more from Morcheeba, the amazing Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real! Eric Gales and the California Honeydrops returning by popular demand from the last festival. We have lots of Blues in this announcement too….and we are just getting started. We are going to have a great festival in 2018! Hope to see you there”.

Bluesfest is on in Byron Bay at Easter 2018.
