Saxon’s Nigel Glockler Releases Video From Hospital

by Paul Cashmere on January 6, 2015

in News

Saxon’s Nigel Glocker has posted a video on the band’s Facebook page telling fans that he is about to go home after being hospitalized for brain surgery.

The band postponed their U.K. tour in early November after Glocker was hospitalized with what was discovered to be a brain aneurysm. Doctors operated to correct the situation but were not initially successful, so Nigel had to undergo a second procedure.

Glocker will be unable to perform during the band’s upcoming tour, but he plans on still being at the shows doing meet and greets with the VIP ticket holders.

Sven Dirkschneider, the son of Udo Dirkschneider, will sit in for Nigel on the tour.

Saxon dates

02/03 – Newcastle, UK – Academy
02/04 – Nottingham, UK – Rock City
02/05 – Wolverhampton, UK – Wulfrun Hall
02/06 – Oxford, UK – Academy
02/07 – London, UK – Shepherds Bush Empire
