Sheppard Added To Meryl Streep Movie Soundtrack

by Paul Cashmere on August 10, 2014

in News

Sheppard’s ‘Shine My Way’ will be included on the soundtrack for the next Meryl Streep ‘The Giver’.

‘The Giver’ will premiere in the USA on August 15, 2014. The plot is set in the perfect world with no war, racism or sickness where everyone has a role then throws in the twist, ‘what if it is questioned’?

The movie also stars Jeff Bridges and Taylor Swift.

‘Shine My Way’ was recorded in 2011 by Sheppard but went unused. It was considered for the debut album ‘Bomb’s Away’ but not included on the record because it didn’t quite fit the sound of the album. The producer’s of The Giver took the opportunity to include the unused Sheppard song in the movie.

Sheppard ‘Geronimo’ is the biggest selling Australian song of 2014 so far this year. It has now sold over 280,000 units making it 4 times Platinum.
