Sinead O’Connor Apologises For Outrageous Prince Allegation

Some may have forgotten but, last May, Sinead O’Connor went on one of her regular tirades and ended up claiming that Arsenio Hall may have had some responsibility in the death of Prince.

Two words for the DEA investigating where prince got his drugs over the decades…. Arsenio Hall (AKA Prince’s and Eddie Murphy’s bitch)

Hall’s spokespeople responded almost immediately saying that the actor and talk show host was not involved and that O’Connor’s statement was “absolutely false, ridiculous and absurd”. Hall also filed a $5 million defamation lawsuit against Sinead.

O’Connor’s initial reaction?

REGARDING ARSE-INIO HALL’S LAUGHABLE THREATS

I’m more amused than I’ve ever dreamed a person could be and look forward very much to how hilarious it will be watching him trying to prove me wrong.

Well, almost nine months later, it seems that O’Connor is more in the mood to apologize. She told TMZ

I apologize for my Facebook posts about Arsenio to the extent that anyone thought I was accusing him of acting as Prince’s drug dealer and supplying him with illegal hard drugs, or insinuating that Arsenio had something to do with Prince’s death. I sincerely apologize because those statements would be false, and I retract them unequivocally.

That’s enough for Hall’s people. Word is that they are looking to dismiss the lawsuit.
