Clint Boge, frontman for Brisbane modern rockers The Butterfly Effect, will quit the band after their national tour.

A press release from the band’s management announced that Boge is officially leaving the band “to pursue other musical interests”, and that the other members plan to continue and “will announce their intentions in the not too distant future”.

The claim that the separation is amicable bears out, since fans will get to see Boge front the band for the final time live during their massive Effected national tour in April.

The band will also release a compilation to celebrate ten years of Butterfly Effect music, which saw them release three albums, the most recent two going Gold and debuting at numbers two and three on the ARIA Album Chart respectively.

We can presume that Boge will continue with his side project Thousand Needles In Red.

Tickets to the shows go on sale from www.thebutterflyeffect.com.au from Monday 13 February.
