Steve Miller and Peter Frampton To Tour US Together

Just hours after we reported the combo of Deep Purple, Alice Cooper and Edgar Winter touring together this summer, there’s another package announcement with Peter Frampton and the Steve Miller Band.

The two artists first met in 1970. Frampton tells the story, “Steve Miller was in a recording studio vocal booth stacking incredible harmonies the first time we met in London, circa 1970. From that moment on, I have been a huge admirer of his multiple talents: singing, writing and, of course, his amazing guitar playing. Steve has already asked if I will come and jam on a few tunes during his set. ‘Yes, please!’ was my very quick answer.”

Miller added “He always sets the musical bar high, his band always knocks me out and I’m thrilled we are going to spend the summer together doing a great run of concerts. This is the kind of quality and talent we both strive to present and I’m looking forward to a summer of great music, exceptional performances and fun. Peter is remarkable musician.”

Why Queen’s Quietest Member John Deacon Chose to Become a Recluse Until This Rare Return

For fans of Queen, John Deacon has long been the enigma of the band, a brilliant musician, masterful songwriter, and humble presence behind the scenes. Since the early 1990s, Deacon has shunned the spotlight, retiring quietly after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. But now, years later, he has quietly resurfaced, lending his signature alongside bandmates Roger Taylor and Brian May on a charity auction item, signalling, perhaps, that even the most private of souls can still make their mark in unexpected ways.
