Stuart Coupe To Present Wild About You Panel At SXSW

Stuart Coupe, the well-known music journo, broadcaster, label owner and artist manager, will present ‘Wild About You’, a panel about the history of Australian and New Zealand music at SXSW in 2013.

‘Wild About You’ is designed to delve into 50 years of Australian and New Zealand music and discuss the diversity that has come from the region.

The panel will look at the global success of AC/DC, Kylie Minogue, INXS, Gotye and Silverchair and the cult favs like Hoodoo Gurus, The Church and Divinyls.

Couple will also focus on what has made Australian and New Zealand music different to the rest of the world.

Questions to be answered include the fundamental differences between Australian and New Zealand music, why some acts make in globally and others don’t, Australia’s remoteness from the rest of the world and the impact that has on touring, Australia’s music pioneers and the future.

SXSW Music will be held at the Austin Convention Center in Texas from March 12 – 17, 2013.
