‘El Camino’, the new album from The Black Keys, debuted at number one of the first day of release on the iTunes chart in Australia.

In doing so, ‘El Camino’ has had a stronger iTunes first day than the posthumous Amy Winehouse album ‘Lioness: Hidden Treasures’. It is the 7th album for The Black Keys duo.

‘El Camino’ follows up 2010’s ‘Brothers’, their break-though album that scored The Black Keys a Grammy. Worldwide sales of ‘Brothers’ are now over 1 million.

Trivia buffs have already noted that despite the name of the album, the car on the cover of the album is actually a Chrysler Town and Country, not a Chevrolet El Camino.

‘El Camino’ was produced by Danger Mouse and The Black Keys and recorded at singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach’s Easy Eye studio in Nashville.
