Adelaide’s The Winter Gypsy are heading to the east coast for shows in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney before returning home of one last show.

The members of The Winter Gypsy came together from four bands in August 2015 and started work on their new music.

The first song is ‘Took Me Off’.

‘Took Me Off’ is accompanied by a video shot in Mount Barker, South Australia by Gerard Wood (Timberwolf).

Lead singer Tush Singh says, “I wrote this song about a period of time wherein my mum was battling cancer – I felt helpless because there was nothing I could do to make her better. I wanted to portray that thought into having a visual of someone restrained and ‘crying out for help,’ but having everyone run past (me through the tunnel) because there’s nothing they can do to help me.”

The Winter Gypsy will play their first show in Melbourne on 28 August 2016.
