With there being little to no chance of another Eagles reunion, Timothy B. Schmit has struck out on his own with new music and tours.

Originally a member of Poco, Schmit joined the Eagles in 1977 after the Hotel California tour and appeared on the albums The Long Run (1979) and Long Road Out of Eden (2007) and was part of their reunion tours.

Last September, Schmit released his sixth solo album, Leap of Faith, and has been touring on and off in support including his current west coast shows. Beginning April 18, he brings the tour to mid-American and the east with shows in Chicago, Cincinnati, New York and a number of other locations.

The dates:
04/18 – Chicago, IL – City Winery Chicago
04/19 – Cincinnati, OH – Live At The Ludlow Garage
04/22 – Kent, OH – The Kent Stage
04/25 – Cohoes, NY – Cohoes Music Hall
04/27 – Bay Shore, NY – YMCA Boulton Ctr. For The Perf. Arts

05/07 – New York, NY – B.B. King Blues Club
05/09 – South Orange, NJ – South Orange Performing Arts Ctr.
05/12 – Ridgefield, CT – Ridgefield Playhouse

Schmit’s shows on the tour, so far, have been a mix of his solo work (his last two albums) and songs from his time with Poco and the Eagles. He also included the Eagles song Peaceful Easy Feeling as a dedication to Glenn Frey, which the band recorded before Timothy became a member.

Why Queen’s Quietest Member John Deacon Chose to Become a Recluse Until This Rare Return

For fans of Queen, John Deacon has long been the enigma of the band, a brilliant musician, masterful songwriter, and humble presence behind the scenes. Since the early 1990s, Deacon has shunned the spotlight, retiring quietly after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. But now, years later, he has quietly resurfaced, lending his signature alongside bandmates Roger Taylor and Brian May on a charity auction item, signalling, perhaps, that even the most private of souls can still make their mark in unexpected ways.
