Todd Rundgren has reformed Utopia for two-month tour from April to June.

The group’s genesis came during the recording of the Rundgren album A Wizard, A True Star. A side project for Rundgren that allowed him to explore more progressive rock sounds than his normal output, they released ten albums between 1974 and 1985.

Joining Rundgren for the tour are Kasim Sulton (bass), who first played with the band in 1976, Willie Wilcox (drums) who was with them from 1976 to 1986, and Ralph Schuckett (keyboards) from one of the earliest incarnations of the band in 1974 and 1975.

This is Utopia’s first tour since 2011 when they initially reformed.

Fan Club presale starts today (February 20) at 10 AM with the Spotify and Ticketmaster presale on Thursday (February 22) and general sales starting Friday (February 23).

Why Queen’s Quietest Member John Deacon Chose to Become a Recluse Until This Rare Return

For fans of Queen, John Deacon has long been the enigma of the band, a brilliant musician, masterful songwriter, and humble presence behind the scenes. Since the early 1990s, Deacon has shunned the spotlight, retiring quietly after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. But now, years later, he has quietly resurfaced, lending his signature alongside bandmates Roger Taylor and Brian May on a charity auction item, signalling, perhaps, that even the most private of souls can still make their mark in unexpected ways.
