Todd Rundgren To Play Jazz Club In Melbourne

Todd Rundgren will perform two intimate shows at Melbourne’s iconic Bennetts Lane jazz venue on his forthcoming Australian tour.

Rundgren will perform the two special shows on July 18.

As part of his ‘An Evening With Todd Rundgren’ tour, Todd will also perform at Melbourne’s Caravan Music Club in the suburb of Oakleigh.

Todd Rundgren was most recently in Australia in February as part of Ringo Starr’s All-Starr Band. Prior to that he visited Australia to perform the songs of Robert Johnson and in 2009 he was singing sea shanties with Patti Smith in Sydney.

An Evening With Todd Rundgren will actually be the first time after four visits where Rundgren gets to perform Rundgren.

Todd Rundgren has hits in Australia in the 70s with ‘I Saw The Light’, ‘Hello Its Me’ and his classic ‘Can We Still Be Friends’.

As a producer Rundgren recorded ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ for Meat Loaf, ‘Straight Up’ with Badfinger, ‘We’re An American Band’ with Grand Funk Railroad and Dragon’s ‘Dreams Of Ordinary Men’.
