Ever since that small distribution tool known as the Internet took over music delivery it seems bizarre that people in the UK would have to wait until the year 2012 for the release of a song that is easily available everywhere online now.

For starters, the video of ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ has been available from Gotye himself ever since July 5, 2011. It has had 23,219,768 views (at time of publication). Over 3 million of those views were in the last few weeks after winning the ARIA awards.

The UK release of ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ will be on February 6, 2012. The ‘Making Mirrors’ album will be released in the UK on February 13, 2012.

‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ was released in Australia in July. ‘Making Mirrors’ in August. The single was released in Belgium and The Netherlands in July and Germany in November. The song is currently Top 10 on the German singles chart.

English fans can get the Gotye ‘Making Mirrors’ right now from Leading Edge Music
