Direction of the Heart is the 19th Simple Minds album.

The title comes from the b-side to a 2018 that isn’t even on the album. Jim tells the story in the interview as well as the story of ‘Vision Thing’, a tribute to his late father and how an unused Simple Minds song from their first ever show in 1978 finally came to make the 2022 album.

Jim Kerr is speaking with Noise11.com’s Paul Cashmere.
