Six years, a successful solo album for Paul, a Texas trip, arguments, some curious covers, and Something For Kate are back.

What has happened since Something For Kate’s 2006 album Desert Lights? A whole hell of a lot, which manifests itself nicely on their adventurous, occasionally discordant, excitable new album Leave Your Soul To Science.

We chat to frontman Paul Dempsey about his solo success, their trip to Dallas to record, just the right amount of intra-band arguing, his “esoteric” lyrics, kooky covers, engaging fans, and the humbling sell-out tour they’re about to embark on.
