Soul-blues sensation The Rubens discuss their lightning-fast rise, recording in New York, their hometown, art installations and more.

Being a band for just over a year hasn’t stopped Menangle’s The Rubens from garnering enviable industry backing. We chat to brothers Sam and Elliott Margin about the wild ride so far, including a whirlwind recording session in New York, the absurdity of signing autographs before they’ve had an album out, whether their fans can hit the notes, and how they became art curators without even knowing it.
