Deep Sea Arcade Recruit Jeff Buckley Drummer For ‘Close To Me’

Matt Johnson, the former drummer for Jeff Buckley, features in the track ‘Close To Me’ from the new Deep Sea Arcade album ‘Blacklight’.

‘Blacklight’ was a number of years in the making with Deep Sea Arcade teaming with Flume and Chet Faker producer Eric J to take the band in a different direction.

It’s “a fusion of soul, electronic and disco” says singer and lyricist Nic McKenzie.

“On the first album I’d always hide behind something and hide vulnerability, and it left me feeling detached…….On this record I feel like I forced myself to actually go, no, I am vulnerable and I’m going to say things about being vulnerable and when I speak to the audience I’ll be that person, I’ll be me,” Nic adds

Deep Sea Arcade ‘Blacklight’ was released this week. The band will tour in 2019.
