Mumford & Sons third album ‘Wilder Mind’ will be stripped off all banjo.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Marcus Mumford dropped the no-banjo bomb-shell qualifying new direction with “We felt that doing the same thing, or the same instrumentation again, just wasn’t for us”.
Bass player Ted Dwane added, “We’ve got a broader taste in music than just that. None of us had really any interest in doing a sort of Babel 2. It was always going to be different.”
Pre-orders for the ‘Wilder Mind’ album have opened on iTunes. The third Mumford & Sons album will be released in May.
