The AIR Awards will celebrate its 10th anniversary with the annual awards ceremony on October 22, 2015.
The 10th annual AIR Awards will be held at the Meat Market in Melbourne,
The first awards took place at the Blackett Hotel in Sydney in 2006 with Hilltop Hoods taking out two awards, Gotye one and Blue King Brown the final award that year,
Since 2006 the AIR Awards have presented 90 awards over time with awards handed to John Butler Trio (2007, 2010), British India (2007), Gurrumul (2008, 2011), The Drones (2009), Dan Sultan (2010, 2014), Adalita (2011), The Jezabels (2011, 2012), Chet Faker (2012), Hermitude (2012), Flume (2013), Vance Joy (2013), Paul Kelly (2013), King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard (2013), Violent Soho (2014), Remi (2014) and Courtney Barnett (2014).
2015 always marks the 20th anniversary of AIR (Australian Independent Record Labels Association).
