Australian band The Vaudeville Smash have been delayed in going to SXSW in Austin, Texas after United Airlines abandoned their US bound flight with no notice to customers.

A Melbourne publicist, also booked on the flight, was told three different conflicting stories by United Airlines after turning up at Melbourne International Airport for the American bound flight.
A United Airlines representative said the flight was suddenly delayed because of technical issues while another said the flight had not left San Francisco 24 hours earlier.
The Vaudeville Smash tweeted, “U-shited airlines cancelled on us today but we got ourselves a #Qantas flight to Dallas instead. Quite a lot poorer but at least there’s inflight entertainment! YEEHAAA”
