Peter Noble’s Bluesfest has won its fourth Gold at the 27th Annual NSW Tourism Awards for Major Festival and Event in Sydney.

Bluesfest competed with Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour Turandot, Hunter Valley Steamfest & Tamworth Country Music Festival to take away the coveted award.

Peter Noble, Bluesfest Festival Director has said; “Can’t believe we’ve won Gold twice in a row, this is now our fourth gold win. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the incredible team at Bluesfest for their dedication that truly is what makes Bluesfest the event that so many are compared by”.

The win is just one of the many honors Bluesfest is up for. “It is only a couple of weeks since we were nominated in the US Pollstar Awards for the World’s best International Music Festival, for the fifth year in a row,” Peter said. “Yet to me, winning this award in our home state for the fourth time is something that is both humbling whilst at the same time exhilarating. We are simply over the moon today as this sinks in.”

The award was accepted by Russell Thorpe, Bluesfest marketing director, on behalf of Bluesfest Festival Director Peter Noble and the entire team.

The 28th Annual Bluesfest will be held at its home the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, over Easter just north of Byron Bay Dates are Thu 13th April to Mon 17th April 2017.

All 5, 3 & 1 day festival and camping tickets are on sale through www.bluesfest.com.au or phone the office on 02 6685 8310.
