Bruce Springsteen Plays Bees Gees At Final Australian Show SETLIST

in Live,News

Bruce Springsteen has opened his final Australian show in Brisbane with a homage to Brisbane’s own The Bee Gees.

Springsteen started his set with a cover of the Saturday Night Fever classic ‘Stayin’ Alive’.

The Bee Gees first formed as a performing group in the Brisbane suburb of Redcliffe in 1958 before taking on the world with disco fever 20 years later.

On Bruce’s 2013 Australian tour he opened his first Australian show in Brisbane with another local band The Saints’ classic ‘Just Like Fire Would’.

The final show also included a complete album performance. Springsteen played his second album ‘The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle’ from beginning to end. On the current Australia tour he also performed the ‘Born In The USA’ and ‘Born To Run’ albums in Melbourne and ‘Darkness On The Edge Of Town’ in Sydney.

Eddie Vedder once again joined Bruce for their rendition of ‘Highway To Hell’ at last night’s show. Springsteen also opened his first Melbourne show with Vedder performing the AC/DC classic.
