The singer was hit by tragedy when he lost his mother to a reported brain aneurysm at the end of last week.

Since then he has kept a low profile, but the star has now taken to Twitter to thank those rallying around him.

“So thankful for all the love during the most difficult time in my life. Ill be back on my feet again soon.Thats what mom wants, she told me (sic),” he wrote in a touching post.

Bernadette Hernandez unexpectedly died at the aged of 55 on June 1.

She passed away at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The day before, Bruno wrote a cryptic tweet to his followers.

“Imagination is the one vacation that doesn’t cost a thing (sic),” it read.

Bernadette was allegedly taken to hospital on May 31, which was first reported by the American edition of Star magazine.

Bruno was close to his mom, who played a huge part in his career.

He even wrote a song entitled I Love You Mom when he was young and has spoken in the past about how much she supported him.

Following the tragic news, fellow stars offered their condolences to 27-year-old Bruno on Twitter.

Among them was Rihanna, who wrote: “Sending my love and condolences to @BrunoMars at this difficult time! I’m sincerely praying for you bro! #1Love (sic).”
