Chuggi Says Elton John Is Touring Australia Again

Elton John is touring Australia again later this year. Well according to promoter Michael Chugg he is.

In a statement about Bluesfest on Thursday, Chuggi inadvertently announced that Elton John will be touring Australia again in November.

Talking about the Byron Shire Events Policy, Chuggi said, “I would point out that my company had spoken to Mr Noble (Bluesfest) about using the Bluesfest site for a concert with Sir Elton John in November this year 2012 but the ridiculous short sighted policy of the council has once more seen a major event go to Regional Queensland”.

It doesn’t come more official than that. Noise11 will take that as an “Elton John is touring Australia in November” official announcement.

The important thing for Australian punters is to support the Bluesfest protest against the ridiculous Byron Shire concert restrictions by going here.

Elton made a statement today about the death of Donna Summer. He said, “I’m so sad. This woman was the queen of disco and so much more. Her records sound as good today as they ever did. That she has never been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a total disgrace especially when I see the second rate talent that has been inducted. She is a great friend to me and to the Elton John AIDS Foundation and I will miss her greatly.”

He is currently in residency performing the Million Dollar Piano show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. He will tour Europe from June 1 and return to the USA for more shows in September and then Australia in November.
