The Daft Punk album is officially the second fastest selling album of 2013 in the USA , behind Justin Timberlake’s ‘The 20/20 Experience’ that did 968,000 sales in its first week, according to Billboard. In Australia, Daft Punk outsold Justin Timberlake in the first week.

‘Random Access Memories’ has also broken Mumford & Sons first week streaming record at Spotify and had the biggest first week streaming result in 22 of 28 of Spotify’s territories. In the USA, every track was streamed at least 500,000 times.

It was a big week for debuts in the USA but Daft Punk still managed to sell more than five times the no. 2 record by Darius Rucker ‘True Believers’. Rucker sold around 77,000 units.

The National ‘Trouble Will Find Me’ debuted at no. 3 in America with 72,000 sales ahead of 30 Seconds To Mars ‘Love Lust Faith + Dreams’ at no. 4 with 60,000 sales.

New Bad Boy signing French Montana ‘Excuse My French’ will also appear in the Top 10 this week.
