The single, released in Australia on the Albert Productions label, looks in mint condition and at time of publication had attracted 27 bids, the top so far at $AUD1,225.00.

That didn’t go unnoticed by Dave Evans who wrote of Facebook, “Wow !! Check out my old single on ebay. Over a thousand dollar so far !!!”

‘Can I Sit Next To Your Girl’ was released in 1974 and featured original lead singer Dave Evans. Dave left after just one single and was replaced by Bon Scott. AC/DC re-recorded the song with Bon on vocals for their second album ‘TNT’.

The notes of eBay state the single is “a beautiful example of one of the rarest and most desirable AC/DC records”. It is “in near mint condition and plays superbly”. The disc is still contained in its original EMI cover.
