Dolly Parton will return to Australia in 2014 and we wonder if her tour bus is coming with her again.
Dolly Parton wanted her own set of wheels on the last tour and that meant shipping her U.S. tour bus to Australia. That way, instead of staying in hotels, Dolly could camp out in her own accomodation.
Strings had to be pulled to get permission for the US registered bus to travel on Australian roads and in the end the compromise was that the bus had to go on a trailer between cities. That meant Dolly had her own personal bed at every stop-over.
Dolly fans should be on the look-out for Dolly’s personal wheels for the 2014 tour.
Dolly was last in Australia in 2011 and filmed her Melbourne show for a live DVD that is yet to be released.
She will return for Live Nation for the 2014 Blue Smoke tour to showcase her new ‘Blue Smoke’ album. Australia, here I come again,” she said in a statement. “We have a lot of new and exciting things for the show and can’t wait to share it with you. I love my fans in that part of the world. You’ve been so very good to me for so many years and I know that we’re gonna have a wonderful time. It’s a long way from home in your part of the world, but I always feel like I’m right at home. So Australia, I’m coming home. Wait up!”
