Gregg Allman was honoured with an all-star line-up in Atlanta on Friday.

A long list of musicians came together on Friday night at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta to salute musician extraordinaire Gregg Allman.

The show was bookended by his bandmates from the Allman Brothers Band, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks at the start and the full band at the end. In between, the artists ran from the classic (Sam Moore, Dr. John, Jackson Browne, Eric Clapton) to the new (Brantley Gilbert, Eric Church, Pat Monahan of Train) and a couple of surprises (Martina McBride, Zac Brown).

Allman joined many of the artists throughout the night to play along, first appearing with Taj Mahal and later reappearing with the likes of Browne, Vince Gill and Zac Brown.

Backing the musicians was Don Was, who was musical director for the evening, Chuck Leavell on keyboards, Jack Pearson on guitar, Rami Jaffee on keyboards, Kenny Aronoff on drums along with a few additional musicians and backup singers.
