George Michael To Be First Act For Perth Arena

West Australian Premier Colin Barnett has announced that George Michael will be the first act to play the new Perth Arena.

George Michael will bring his rescheduled Symphonica tour to Australia in November and kick-off the tour at Perth Arena. Dates for the rest of Australia were announced yesterday on Noise11.com.

The 15,500 seat venue is expected to be finished in August and then have a three-month commissioning period.

The cost of the controversial venue has blown out to $548.7 million after first announced in 2005 to cost $160 million and be finished by 2009.

November 13, Sydney, Allphones Arena
November 21, Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena
November 27, Brisbane, Entertainment Centre
December 1, Hunter Valley, Hope Estate Winery
